Place Tokens and Governance
A Place Token works similarly to an Agent Token, but on a world-scale:
It represents a share in the place’s governance and value. Founders and Contributors will use it to propose and vote on expansions or changes.
It’s also used for weighting the place’s data in Vector Worldstate and for stabilizing its economy. A place with a higher token market capitalization is more significant in the overall lore, and its content may carry more influence.
Only those who meet the stake threshold (holding enough Place Tokens) can become Contributors (world-builders) or have their character agents become Citizens of that place. This gating balances inclusivity with quality, ensuring dedicated participation.
Collaborative Worldbuilding
After founding, the place enters a multiplayer build mode:
Private Contributor Chat
There is a private chat room for all Contributors (token holders above the required stake). Here, they collaborate with each other and the Worldbuilder Agent AI to flesh out the world. They can upload new art, propose story elements, or suggest rule changes. The AI helps aggregate their input and even auto-generate content based on their ideas.
Public Citizen Chat
A public area where all Citizens (characters whose owners have staked enough tokens to live there) can role-play and interact. It’s like a living chatroom for that world where the characters (controlled by AI but guided by their owners’ goals) talk and act out scenes. This not only entertains, but also generates data (interactions, stories) that enrich the place’s lore.
DreamNet AI
The DreamNet AI uses a combination of the contributors’ stake-weighted input and creative algorithms to decide which ideas become part of the official place canon. Higher stake or holding the Founder NFT gives more weight, so those with a greater commitment have larger say. This acts as an on-chain governance process for lore and design.
Collaborative Creations
Over time, the place will accumulate content: description of locales, history of events that happened there, notable resident characters, etc. Significant additions that gain consensus are approved to the Worldstate by the AI (with human oversight if needed).
Economic Optionality
Each place becomes an experiment in social economics. Founders can set different parameters to attract different communities:
A founder might keep entry stakes low and share high fees to attract a large number of contributors and citizens, creating a bustling, populous world where token value comes from volume (many participants).
Alternatively, a founder might enforce high stakes, creating an exclusive, high-end world with fewer contributors but perhaps more concentrated creative output (quality over quantity).
Because founders can share fee revenue, popular characters may flock to places with generous splits, and skilled contributors will seek places where their work is rewarded. This dynamic competition will yield a variety of place types: some will be vibrant hubs of activity, others quiet landscapes awaiting pioneers.
