Character Token Fees

Last updated 2 months ago

All Agent Tokens carry a small onchain transaction fee of 1% on every buy and sell. This is to cover DreamNet's computational costs and expansion. Before an agent is verified, the 1% fee goes into the protocol’s treasury to fund these costs. Once the character is verified, however, a portion of that fee will be redirected to the character’s owner.

Post Threshold Fee Split

After verification, the character’s owner benefits from every interaction with their character’s token. This aligns incentives: if you create a beloved character, you share in the ongoing engagement it generates.

Together, these mechanics support creators and contributors. Creators receive an initial token allocation, a share of transaction activity once verified, and increased recognition whenever their character is referenced in popular content. Those who engage with character tokens benefit from ongoing activity and the potential growth of the character as an important part of the story universe.
