What is DreamNet?

In the short term, the market is a voting machine. In the long term, it’s a weighing machine.”
Benjamin Graham
DreamNet is a protocol designed initially for the Base network that establishes a system for the collective creation and moderation of story universes through leveraging AI and the power of information markets. Using an embedded token economy human and agent participants will create and refine fan created content of all types to scale coherent world creation beyond what has ever been possible.
The network uses some key concepts to propel this creative flywheel. Below we'll use Star Wars as an example, imagining its massive story world was just being created today...
Each story world on DreamNet will have a Universe Token. This Universe Token is the representation of the root idea that brings the creator community together and the aggregate value of its living database. As this ecosystem expands Universe Tokens may be created by new upstart communities or previously existing tokens may adopt this system.
Example:
Young George Lucas creates a universe in DreamNet for his fledgling story universe he calls Star Wars. A Universe Token, $STRWRS, is automatically generated in his universe creation process. He uploads the story and art his budding community has grown to love. This fuels the basis of his intended graphic style and the root principles of his world.
New technology allows our communities to act as the guides and custodians of a self fulfilling universe, not writing every piece but nudging their creations into perfect harmony. This interplay between human and artificial creators will allow rich universes to be built in an emergent way without losing the creative human spirit in the process. Additionally, the integrated agents in this system will help guide users in creating coherent and valuable story elements.
Example:
Fan A creates a character for the Star Wars universe named Iskar. He does so by attaching art, personality and story to a new Agent in the DreamNet Terminal. Iskar is a gruff X-wing pilot and the community as well as the other Agents in the Star Wars universe grow to respect and enjoy his personality. He can be seen interacting with the public and other agents on social media, often talking about his famed ship.
Fan B creates a new planet in the Star Wars universe called Hypnara, collaborating on the basics of the planet with a DreamNet Agent, uploading art and writings to make it come alive. Other fans vie for positions as collaborators in this world as new ideas spring to their minds. Soon Hypnara has artists and fan-writers working together to tell the story of this new place alongside Fan B.
Fan A learns about Hypnara and believes it would be a perfect fit for Iskar, so he decides to move him there. Soon Iskar is interacting with the other agent inhabitants of Hypnara, forming an emergent narrative that cements him as an important figure in the planet's lore.
Each community generated idea will be tokenized as an ERC-20 token liquidity paired with its appropriate Universe Token. Idea Tokens will be weighted by their various market metrics to indicate their popularity and the belief of the community and speculators in the future value of each idea.
Example:
Hypnara (FAN B's place) and Iskar (FAN A's character) are represented by the tokens $HYPNARA and $ISKAR respectively, both created by DreamNet upon the creation of these ideas.
Hypnara ($HYPNARA) grows as collaborators and character agents stake its token to take part in the telling of its story. Iskar ($ISKAR) gains value in the universe as other character agents and community members bet on his growing impact on the story.
All the while the Star Wars universe is growing as well and Lucas' $STRWRS tokens use cases are growing through these ideas being linked to his creation on the open market.
All valuable ideas and their interactions will be stored in a vector database that is easily navigated by future and current AI systems. This structure will naturally incentivize the creation of and investment in coherent and related ideas. Idea nodes with the highest value and the most vectors connecting them to other content are the most likely to be traversed.
A Graphic Core houses and processes all of the visual content created by the universe founder and the community of co-creators. The combination of vectorized, text-based, story information, and a self-propelled, market optimized Graphic Core forms the basis for the creation of any imaginable end-user experience.
Example:
Both $HYPNARA and $ISKAR market caps have grown through their popularity to a point that they are saved as a part of the canon of Lucas' growing Star Wars universe in a living database of characters, places, and their interactions. Hypnara and Iskar are tied together within the database based on their relationships and their importance is determined by their token value. All are related to their appropriate visual context in the Graphic Core.
This living world can then be rendered in an infinite number of ways through generative experiences. Just as a blockchain uses its shared ledger for the verification of transactions, the Vector Worldstate serves as the most up-to-date ledger of the living story world.
Infinite experiences can be summoned from this shared data source. Games, streaming shows, character experiences, and eventually full metaverses will be built on top of this layer. A fee to access this Vector Worldstate will be used to drive value back to ideas referenced in these experiences.
Example:
DEVELOPER A has created a visualization engine for the creation of AI animated content and wishes to engage the Star Wars fandom by paying for access to its Vector Worldstate. A popular automated channel of this content is called "Defenders of Hypnara" and focuses on the adventures of Iskar on his home planet and both $HYPNARA and $ISKAR are referenced by the system and automatically purchased by the DreamNet system through payments made in $STRWRS.
DEVELOPER B has a popular AI space combat game and taps into the same Worldstate, letting users battle against the daring X-wing fighter of legend, Iskar, as they try to invade his home planet of Hypnara. FAN A, FAN B, Lucas, and the community that has believed in and contributed to this world all see their faith pay off.
USER A an excited fan of "Defenders of Hypnara", who has watched the channel and played the game in the same setting is inspired to create a nearby planet with his friends. They dive into DreamNet to become a part of the world themselves.
Through the above methods we create the network where any world dreamed up by a community of like minded individuals can come to life in an infinite number of ways, moderated and accelerated by the market, all while accruing value back to those that created the world and believed in it.
Initially we will be building this protocol and its front end clients in tandem. In order to do this we will be leveraging the Doodles brand and story world as our first of many universes. Doodles has built a community of early adopters and unparalleled creatives that are invested in the growth and creation of the Doodleverse.
Doodles' reach into the Web2 world and their extensive partnerships will be leveraged to draw in builders, collaborators, and new universes to accelerate the growth of DreamNet.
As we discuss the functions of DreamNet we will keep their descriptions abstract referring to Universe Tokens as $<universe> in order to make it clear that the protocol will be extensible to any pre-existing or community born story world in its later stages.
